The purpose of the MAHC Education Committee is to gather information on community issues relevant to education and develop relationship/partnership with schools, businesses, non-profits and government agencies, with the intent to increase the successful experience in our students.
Primary areas of focus have been developed by this group, including: Parental involvement and Cultural Sensitivity Awareness and Training.
Additionally, the education committee serves as an advocate for public policies that effect our Latino learners. Committee members have become involved with issues such as: All day kindergarten, state budget cuts, English Language Learners – resources, programs, & accountability.
